5 Ways For Your Blogging Business

The Web has a way of changing things as we know them. Now, a diary of thoughts, observations and insight — posted on the Internet — may be a way to boost your business.

Web logs, or "blogs," are more than a passing Internet fancy, and they're not confined to the worlds of politics and high-tech. They also have become a way to engage readers and potential customers of businesses big and small.

"Blog" is simply an abbreviated way to say "Web log." It's a journal posted on a Web site, updated on a regular basis and containing news, opinions, ideas and brainstorms, plus links to other sources of information, other Web sites and other blogs.

Many blogs cut both ways, inviting readers to post feedback on what they see. While that can apply to everything from sports and entertainment to rants about high school math, it can also generate interest — and, ultimately, income — for your business.

No, blogs aren't for everyone. But see how they can accomplish these five basic business objectives.

1. Expose a new or little-known product or idea.

For Grant Smith, blogging makes a world of sense on a number of levels. Smith operates FirstStream, a Santa Cruz, Calif., provider of streaming video e-mail and related video communications products. Since many prospective clients might know precious little about video e-mail, Smith says his blog is a natural way to lay out specifics.

"I began blogging to get established in the technology," Smith says. "It can have a positive impact for business. Readers are always looking for more ways to find out information about companies and for ways to interact."

That, in turn, can lead to a more informed customer and a more time-effective sales process. Rather than your taking the time to pitch your product or service to a client who may not need it, a blog supplants you as an information source. If a prospect contacts you with an urge to do business, great. If not, you've wasted no time in explaining something that generates nothing in return.

2. Improve your search engine rankings.

Blogging also puts you in touch with prospects in other ways. As any company with a position on the Internet realizes, hits via Google, MSN and other search engines can provide a groundswell of leads. Blogs can add further leverage to the frequency with which search vehicles identify you and your company, particularly if your blog allows readers to post a response.

"Blogs, if done properly, have a tremendous benefit vis-à-vis search engines," says Brad Fallon, president of SEO Research, a search engine marketing firm in Atlanta. "Search engines tend to prefer bigger Web sites, for several reasons beyond the scope. With blogs that allow comments, every new post and every new comment becomes an additional Web page filled with additional keywords to be picked up by the search engine spiders."

3. Position yourself as an expert in an industry or field.

Blogging also can also prove an implicitly effective marketing tool to establish yourself as an authority in your field. Not only can that generate leads, it also sends a positive buzz about your credentials through the marketplace.

"My blog has generated massive traffic and lead flow," says David L. Carpe of Clew, a Lexington, Mass., consulting concern. "But it also serves as a stamp, furthering my credibility as a real research wonk. It also generates many leads and inquiries, some of which are actionable proposals, others pure networking contacts."

Blogging also addresses other needs, some of which supersede simple profit motive. For instance, doctors and other health-care providers are reportedly using blogs to vent their frustration about everything from malpractice suits to public misconceptions about health care. That sort of emotional catharsis carries over into other areas. In September 2004, blogs were filled with remembrances about where people were and what they were doing when the first airliner struck the World Trade Center towers on 9/11.

4. Influence public opinion.

Blogging also allows users to bypass traditional journalistic venues and, in effect, become a publisher of their own thoughts and viewpoints. For Steve Rubel, vice president of client services at CooperKatz & Co., a New York public relations firm, they're also fast becoming a powerful influence on public opinion.

"Blogs have evolved into legitimate alternative sources of news on niche and micro-niche topics," Rubel says. "Anyone with a passion and dedication could become an amateur journalist. I feel some of these sites — in aggregate — are having just as much sway on public opinion as larger, more established media brands."

5. Engage in a forum openly with your customers.

Just as important, blogs that solicit reader comments can provide a sense of immediacy with your customers. In one respect, that's a ready source of feedback on what you're doing right and what you need to polish. Even better, it can also prove an ample supply of marketing muscle.

"My blog provides a forum for customers to give feedback after plunking their money down," says Fallon. "The result? While the normal market is lucky to have one-half of 1% of customers send an unsolicited testimonial, I have already collected glowing testimonials from over 15% of my customers."

Lastly, blogs offer a means to access one of the most human of needs — the desire to communicate. And, whether that's on a personal or professional level, that can prove every bit as enjoyable as it is profitable. As Fallon puts it: "I like to hear myself talk as much as anyone."

Easy Money Maker with "Google AdSense"

Google AdSense is an easy way to gaining income from internet. Many people said that AdSense is an easy way to gain income from internet. Is it true?

If you’re a person with assumption that AdSense is a campaign for “get-rich-quick” scheme, with all of my knowledge I’d tell you that you’re totally wrong.

This “get-rich-quick” myth is only a business strategy which used by several people who wants gaining more income for their campaign such as selling eBooks, templates, software, etc. which containing methods to make you gaining passive income from internet.

There are few publisher can survives and gaining income as they’ve been imagined. The percentage for new AdSense publishers to gaining success is less than 50%. I think it’s about 20% – 30%. I’ve joining many unofficial AdSense forums and most of AdSense newbie is fail gaining success for their 1st year. It can be happened because they always think that AdSense is a “get-rich-quick” scheme.

They usually think that using High Paid Keywords (HPK) for their contents is the fastest methods for gaining income, although they don’t know actually about that High Paying Keywords. They will get nothing since the contents for that high paid keyword is gained through illegal methods such as : “copy-paste”, automate software, etc.

And the worst, since they have been flattered with “get-rich-quick” myth, they will do everything to makes their income skyrocketing. They will use some illegal methods which have been restricted by Google AdSense TOS and Policy such as click fraud, begging click, force click, automated click, etc.

They don’t even realize, although their account is secure looks like at the beginning, those methods will be detected by Google AdSense Support Team. As result, their account got banned when Google AdSense Support Team makes review to their account and their website.
Yes, you are right……. Google AdSense is not an easy campaign as you’ve been imagined. Although there are some publisher gaining success in AdSense, but the percentage is very low.

Do you know the solution?

The most important thing is you have to know that AdSense is NOT an easy way to gaining income from internet. I guess you’re knew already that every part of job have some risk and effort.

When you’re understood enough for the point above, then you can follow these steps for your early directive in order to gaining success in AdSense.

1. When create contents inside your site, choose the appropriate topic that suitable with your knowledge. Forget about High Paid Keyword or High Paying Keywords. Make this site as your most important website and make it as a “Parent-Site”.

2. After you have done with that, get some SEO (Search Engine Optimization) methods to make your site full of quality.

3. Next step is promoting your site to your visitors. Promotion can be done with many methods such as submit to search engines, offline and online advertisement, submit directory, submit top list, etc. And for God’s sake, avoid SPAM!

4. While you’re waiting for the result, don’t forget to make your site updated frequently.

5. Pray and say thanks to God.

6. If your campaign is growing bigger, spread your wings and make some business expansion at the right timing. Create more sites and repeat the steps above.

Design your logo online with Online Logo Maker

I love “do it online” software. It allows you to be productive even with a laptop bought 10 minutes ago, without any installed software, or from an internet cafè.
Online Logo Maker is one of these tools, and I am going to take a test drive.
As the name suggests, it’s a free online logo creator
Ricardo Lopes, the author, needs some feedback so you are welcome to test it.
The first thing I liked is it does not require you to register to create a logo. Some similar tools actually take more time to register than to enjoy… So you can immediatly start your logo from scratch.
This is the work area:

This is where you will draw your logo, and you can make three basic actions:
1) Uploading an image from your hard disk
2) Adding a custom shape from the library. As you can see in this picture, the library provides a wide range of shapes ready to be part of your logo

3) Adding text
Then a control panel will allow you to modify, paint, and adjust the text and every object that forms your logo.

The whole process is very easy and you can really create your logo in a matter of minutes.
This is the logo of an airline company I own, made with Online Logo Maker and automatically exported

Online Logo Maker automatically exports your logo in png format with transparent background. That’s great.
There are a couple of things I would like to see, anyway… first I think an Undo button is necessary when working on complex projects… then I would be interesting having a gradient fill.
All in all, an easy way to make custom logos for free.

New Guideline for Cybercafes in Selangor

SELANGOR 23 May (MIC) --Cybercafes in Selangor will automatically shut down at midnight under a new “uniformed” software to be introduced by the state government.
State local government committee chairman Ronnie Liu said the system would be introduced under a new guideline known as Healthy Cybercafe 2012.
Liu said cybercafe operators would be required to obtain the software.
“With the software, customers will have to sign in electronically every time they log in to a computer at the cybercafe.
“They will also be required to sign in with their Mykad.
“Children under 12 years will have to sign in with their MyKid and their PCs will automatically shut down by 10pm.
“This is to ensure that children who are not accompanied by their parents do not hang around the premises late into the night,” he said.
In doing so, Liu said the cybercafes would be able to compile their customers’ particulars and this would be useful should the authorities need the information.
“The practice will serve as a deterrent to prevent criminals from using cybercafes as a base for illegal activities,” he said.
Liu said the guidelines were passed by the state executive council recently would be implemented next month.
He said the Healthy Cybercafe guidelines would be sent to all the 12 local authorities in Selangor.
“All existing cybercafes will be given one year to comply with the various rules and regulations stipulated in the guidelines,” he said.
With the new development, Liu said the freeze on the issuance of new cybercafe licences which was imposed in 2006, would be lifted.
Following a thorough study that was conducted over a period of one year, Liu said the ban on cybercafes had led to the mushrooming of illegal cybercafes in the state.
“This goes to show that the ban on cybercafes is not a solution and gave us no alternative but to allow applications for new licences.
“However, those who wish to operate cybercafes will have to adhere to the new rules stipulated in the guidelines,” he said.
Besides the introduction of the standard software in the guideline, Liu said operators were also required comply with the appearance of the premises.
Among others, he said the operators were required to offer open premises and without partitions.
“The premises of the cybercafe must be visible from its entrance and without nooks and corners so that nothing is hidden.
“This is to prevent the cybercafes from being used for other activities including online gambling,” he said, adding that the premises must also be brightly lit.
Liu said cycbercafes would be required to house a minimum of 40 computers for those located under the indication of a municipality and not less than 20 computers for those under the local councils.
He said closing hours for the cybercafes remained at midnight.
However, Liu said the local authorities were allowed to extend the closing time by an hour in areas that were frequented by tourists.
He said foreigners visiting cybercafes would be required to produce their travel documents.
“We do not encourage the premises to be open until late at night unless there was a serious need to cater to tourists,” he said.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a 2013 historical action-adventure open world video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released worldwide for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29, 2013; for the Wii U on October 29, 2013 in North America, on November 21, 2013 in Australia, on November 22, 2013 in Europe, and on November 28, 2013 in Japan; for the PlayStation 4 on November 15, 2013 in North America, on November 22, 2013 in Europe, and on November 29, 2013 in Australia; for Microsoft Windows on November 19, 2013 in North America, on November 21, 2013 in Australia, and on November 22, 2013 in Europe; and for the Xbox One on November 22, 2013.
It is the sixth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, a sequel to 2012's Assassin's Creed III's modern story and a prequel to its historical storyline. The story proper is set in the early 18th century Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, and follows notorious pirate Edward Kenway, grandfather of Assassin's Creed III protagonist Ratonhnhaké:ton, who stumbles upon the conflict waged by the Assassins and Templars. Unlike previous games, gameplay elements focus more on ship-based exploration in the open world map, while also retaining the series' third-person land-based exploration, melee combat, and stealth system. Multiplayer also returns, albeit with only land-based modes and settings.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag received positive reviews, with critics praising the open world gameplay, side-quests, graphics and naval combat. The story received a mixed response, while criticism fell on aspects of the story missions which was considered repetitive. The game received several awards and nominations, including winning the Spike VGX 2013 award for Best Action Adventure Game.

Gameplay

The game features three main cities; Havana, Kingston, and Nassau, Bahamas, which reside under Spanish, British and pirate influence, respectively. The game also features 50 other "unique" locations to explore, with a 60/40 balance between land and naval exploration.Assassin's Creed IV has a more open world feel, with missions similar to those found in Assassin's Creed, as well as fewer restrictions for the player. The world opens up sooner in the game, as opposed to Assassin's Creed III, which had very scripted missions and did not give players freedom to explore until the game was well into its first act. The player will encounter jungles, forts, ruins and small villages and the world is being built to allow players much more freedom, such as allowing players to engage, board, and capture passing ships and swimming to nearby beaches in a seamless fashion. In addition, the hunting system has been retained from Assassin's Creed III, allowing the player to hunt on land, and fish in the water.
A new aspect in the game is the ship the player will captain, Jackdaw. The Jackdaw is upgradeable throughout the game, and is easily accessible to the player when needed. In addition, a new underwater component has been added. The player has access to a spyglass, allowing the examination of distant ships, along with their cargo and strength. It can also help determine if an island still has animals to hunt, treasures to find or high points to reach for synchronization. An updated form of the recruit system introduced in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has returned, allowing Edward to recruit crew members. While Kenway's crew will remain loyal to him, and can be promoted to captain acquired ships, they cannot assist in combat or perform long-range assassinations, as in previous games. Ubisoft removed this aspect of the brotherhood system, believing it allowed players to bypass tense and challenging scenarios too easily.
In the present day, at the offices of Abstergo Entertainment — a subsidiary of Abstergo Industries — in Montreal, Quebec, players will engage in modern day pirating through the exploring of Abstergo's offices, eavesdropping and hacking, all without combat. As well, various "hacking" games, similar to previous cluster and glyph puzzles, will be present, that will uncover secrets about Abstergo.
Multiplayer also returned, with new settings and game modes, though it is only land-based.

Synopsis

Characters
The main character of the game is Edward Kenway (Matt Ryan),a Welsh privateer-turned-pirate and eventual member of the Assassin Order; father of Haytham Kenway, and grandfather of Ratonhnhaké:ton, the two playable characters of Assassin's Creed III. Real-life individuals that will be encountered include the pirates Edward "Blackbeard" Thatch (Mark Bonnar), Benjamin Hornigold, Anne Bonny, Calico Jack and Charles Vane (Ralph Ineson).

Setting
As is the case in previous games in the Assassin's Creed series, the story is divided into two intertwined halves, with one in the present day, one in a historical setting, and the events of each influencing the other. Although the present-day story had previously established that an Animus was required to view one's ancestors memories, the ending of Assassin's Creed III reveals that Abstergo can now view a host's genetic memories simply by sequencing the host's DNA. As such, the player's character is hired by Abstergo Entertainment to investigate a pivotal character in Desmond's ancestry, the Assassin Edward Kenway. A notorious pirate and privateer operating during the Golden Age of Piracy, Kenway's story is set in the Caribbean, and mixes open-ended ship-based exploration with combat and land-based adventures on a number of Caribbean islands, as well as parts of southern Florida.
